"Unlucky in Love" holds whole new meaning for business woman, Charlee Beckett. Not only is she unlucky in love, she's just plain unlucky. Where Charlee goes, disaster follows. When her ex-fiancé invites her to his wedding, she attempts to opt out on the premise she has prior commitments. But the bride-to-be is her cousin, who suspects Charlee still harbors feelings for her future groom. To save face, Charlee enlists the aid of Jake Randall, brother to her long-time friend and business partner.
Jake Randall prefers his women tall, willowy and blonde--not short, dark and accident prone. But something about the luckless Charlee tugs at his heartstrings. Convinced its just sympathy for the hapless woman, Jake consents to act the part of her boyfriend for the evening. As luck would have it, the charade takes a further twist with the announcement that the festivities will be held over a one week period at the groom's family estates. Unless they ditch the entire affair, Jake and Charlee will risk everything by continuing with the pretense.
